The hybrid Tangerine Dream is mostly sativa. Barney's Farm, an Amsterdam-based seed bank, developed it by crossing G13 with a Haze offspring called Neville's Haze.

As mentioned, Tangerine Dream draws upon the genetics of three highly regarded strains: G13, Afghani, and Neville's A5 Haze.

G13

G13 is a legendary indica that is thought to have come from a federal laboratory in Mississippi. Its plant’s leaves are forest green, with hints of dark purple in certain forms. The blossoms are coated with sticky white trichomes, which give the flowers a dewy appearance.

AFGHANI

The Afghani also spelled Afghan, is an indica strain that originated in the mountains of Afghanistan. Many cannabis consumers regard it as their all-time favorite strain.

NEVILLE'S A5 HAZE

A powerful sativa hybrid, Neville's A5 Haze is a cross between Haze, Skunk #1, and Northern Lights #5.

Tangerine Dream has been recognized for its superiority on multiple occasions, most notably taking home the trophy for Best Sativa at the 2010 High Times Cannabis Cup.

There are several methods for germinating cannabis seeds at home. Still, when it comes to having a high germination success rate, most people repeatedly return to the same approach - damp paper towels. Paper towels are an ideal medium for germinating seeds since they are pathogen-free and make it easier to adjust moisture levels. This approach also eliminates the guesswork of determining if your seeds have germinated because you can immediately look at them. If you want to give your Tangerine Dream seeds the best possible start, consider using the following step-by-step guide:

  1. Get yourself some tweezers, paper towels, a workstation, a dinner plate, a water sprayer, and the Tangerine Dream strain seeds.
  2. Soak your paper towel(s) in water or spritz them with water and let the excess drip off.
  3. Cover the plate with 3-4 layers of paper towels. You don't want to overload your plate with paper towels, but having a few water sheets is helpful. Fold or trim the paper towels to fit so that everything fits entirely within the plate.
  4. With your tweezers, scatter the seeds on the paper towel, allowing at least an inch between them.
  5. Use a single moist paper towel to cover the seeds. Remember, using fewer layers on top lets you view the growing progress beneath without raising the moist towel.
  6. Use the second plate to cover the whole setup.
  7. Place your Tangerine Dream seeds near natural light, or use a seedling heat pad to keep them warm. Avoid putting them in full sunlight or putting the mat immediately under the plate because this can overheat your seedlings. Place a barrier between the heating pad and the seed plate if feasible. You can use a kitchen towel, a book, or a heat-resistant divider.
  8. Check on the seeds at least once daily and ensure the paper towels aren't drying out. You may need to add extra water occasionally to keep them moist. Without checking beneath the top sheet, you can generally tell when the seeds have sprouted. Using a single paper towel on top lets you check on your seeds without disturbing them by lifting the top plate.
  9. Your seeds may sprout in a few days. When your seeds have germinated, gently remove the top layer of paper towel. A small root or two circular, golden seedling leaves will grow from the shell. It should indicate it's time to transplant your seedlings to your chosen growing medium.

Feminized cannabis seeds are the best option for increased yield and quality. Starting cannabis growth with these seeds is the best choice for a productive crop. Feminized cannabis seeds yield far more than the regs.

After harvesting, many feminized seeds undergo further treatment to boost yield quality; this often includes colloidal silver, which promotes the formation of female pollen. As a consequence, if you want to grow and harvest a large quantity of cannabis, you need to begin with feminized seeds. Similarly, as with regs, you won't waste time sorting your plants into male and female categories.

Tangerine Dream is an ecologically versatile strain you can grow indoors and outdoors if it can flourish in a warm and humid setting. The harvest of this medium-sized plant may be quite robust and copious, and it can be easily cultivated even by inexperienced gardeners.

Should You Grow Tangerine Dream Seeds Indoors or Outdoors?

Depending on preference, you can grow your Tangerine seeds indoors or outdoors.

Growing Tangerine Dream Seeds Indoors

To get the best results while growing indoors, Tangerine Dream prefers a slightly warmer and more humid climate than other strains. This plant is perfect for indoor growers of any experience level searching for a low-maintenance variety. This strain is ideal for indoor growing because of its moderate stature and high yields. It only takes around 8-10 weeks to bloom, which is quick for a sativa hybrid.

Benefits

One of the benefits of growing Tangerine Dream indoors is its short stature. It doesn't grow too tall, so that you can keep it within the grow tent. Likewise, it's not too demanding and won't be too complicated even for beginners.

Are there any drawbacks to growing Tangerine Dream seeds indoors?

You should provide sufficient air circulation to avoid trapping too much moisture when growing indoors.

Growing Tangerine Dream Seeds Outdoors

Outdoors, this strain will take up as much sunlight as you give it, so position it someplace with a lot of light! During the flowering phase, remove extraneous leaves or branches to increase the plant's exposure to light. Tangerine Dream is often available for harvesting in the first week of October.

Pros

Tangerine Dream is pretty resistant, making it well suited to outdoor growing. Likewise, it enjoys the sunlight, which is in significant supply outdoors.

Cons

One of the drawbacks of outdoor growing is that plants can get exposed to pests such as broad mites and leaf miners.

How Much Does Tangerine Dream Seeds Yield?

When Tangerine Dream finally blooms, you'll be rewarded with a bountiful harvest for all your hard work. This cultivar produces 1.6 to 2 ounces of thick buds per square foot.

How to Get Better Yields from Your Tangerine Dream Seeds

For better yields with Tangerine Dream seeds, use several training techniques. For instance, the plant responds well to pruning, topping, and Sea of Green training.

Here are the top three growing techniques for Tangerine Dream seeds:

Sea of Green

The Sea of Green technique shortens the vegetative and flowering stages of the cannabis plant's life cycle. It produces more yields at a faster pace, but it also encourages greater yields. Thanks to the Sea of Green, even a little growing area may generate a significant crop.

For example, plants are encouraged to blossom earlier than usual. Consequently, the plants are shorter and nearer to the light source, and a canopy of buds, or something like one, begins to open and let in sunlight. Larger buds will develop if more light can reach the surface of the buds. Furthermore, since the vegetative phase is significantly reduced, you may harvest earlier than usual while using Sea of Green.

Topping

Topping is a technique of growing vegetative plants in which you remove the top of the primary stem. Apical dominance will be broken if the plant develops like a Christmas tree, with a single major cola at its tallest point. When topped, the plant generates two new stems instead of one. When incorporating a screen into a growing landscape, topping is essential for generating a symmetrical canopy.

Pruning

All growers should consider pruning fan leaves and low-growing tips, but only when it is appropriate to do so. The lower portions of a plant are less productive than the top sections; thus, it is crucial to know when to cut them away and strip them. Remove the plant's lower leaves and stems to make room for more desirable buds.

It would help if you pruned away everything you see, including large, healthy fan leaves and side branches. Consider reducing the plant's growth by around 60-70% from the pot's base upward. You may also use your fingers and thumb to disengage from the branches. Always keep an eye out for new growth in areas that have recently been pruned.

The buds of this strain are thick and big, like those of an indica rather than a sativa. The leaves are a dark forest green, with a hint of purple in certain forms. This latter hue is achieved by cultivating the plant at temperatures far lower than normal, which stimulates the production of pigments known as anthocyanins. Trichomes, which are sticky white structures, coat the blooms and give them a dewy appearance. Threads of orange pistils hold together these vibrant leaves.
