What are High THC Seeds?

High THC seeds are cannabis strains with a high concentration of the psychoactive compound THC.

Tetrahydrocannabinol, called THC for short, is one of the active ingredients found in the cannabis plant. THC is responsible for a euphoric effect. It is also one of the oldest psychoactive in the history of man.

Historical evidence shows that as far back as the first century AD, people were using THC as an herbal remedy. Modern research suggests that high THC cannabis possesses therapeutic properties that benefit people.

Cannabis strains include about 60 different chemicals, some of which provide a psychoactive effect. The two considered to be the most effective and potent are THC and cannabidiol (CBD). Evidence shows that CBD can counteract the psychoactive effects of THC, so choose cannabis strains with relatively low CBD levels for an incredible high.

Why Choose High THC Seeds?

THC’s therapeutic effects are well known. Multiple scientific studies show anecdotal evidence of Tetrahydrocannabinol relieving various conditions such as aches, lack of appetite, and sleeplessness.

Expert growers have bred cannabis seeds with phenomenally high THC levels and low levels of CBD. Some of these hard-hitting marijuana strains have THC levels that average more than 22%. This leads to an optimal high without CBD countering the effects.

Strains this high in THC, like Bruce Banner, are for seasoned cannabis users only, typically those with a high tolerance. This also means it takes less to achieve a high, meaning a better value, and more potency for hash, dabs, oils, and edibles.

How to Grow High THC Level Seeds

Cannabis seeds are not particularly difficult to grow so long as you know the proper steps to take in the growing process and have the right equipment for the size of your grow.

If you are planning on growing indoors or outdoors make sure you study what is needed for each. Indoor grows will require more equipment and materials to be used, as well as resources like power and water. If you wish to do a simple grow then outdoor would be a better option, however, this is largely dependent upon climate.

Most cannabis seeds with extreme levels of THC are hybrids of other strains. That means, how they grow depends on their parents. However, if you are looking for an extreme high without the extreme challenge of growing, choose autoflowering seeds. These high THC marijuana strains are easy to grow, produce great buds, and require minimal maintenance.

Best way to Germinate High-Grade Seeds

Germinating marijuana seeds is not difficult, although it does take attention to detail and the right environment. Successful germination takes the right amount of moisture, the right temperature, and a decent amount of light (sunlight or artificial light from low-intensity grow lights).

Arguably the easiest and most cost-effective way to germinate high THC cannabis seeds is to place them between wet paper towels (often referred to as “the paper towel germination method”). Add a bit of water to the paper towels and squeeze out the excess water.

You want the paper towels to be moist but not dripping water. Place the seed(s) between the moist paper towels, place the paper towels between two plates, and store in a cupboard or drawer for anywhere between 24-120 hours. Check on your seeds often to see if they have popped a taproot. Keep the paper towels moist until the germinated cannabis seeds are ready to transplant.

If the temperature of the room is too cold (below 55 degrees Fahrenheit), consider using a heating mat, which can be found at most department stores in the gardening section. The success rate of the paper towel method is high as long as the cultivator keeps a close eye on the process until the germinated seed is ready to be transplanted into potting soil, peat pellets, coco coir or a different growing medium.

Various products such as “rapid rooters” can be incorporated into germination strategies, however, they are not as cost-effective as the paper towel method.

Do High THC Seeds Grow Better in Soil or Hydro?

There are benefits and negatives to anything, but which method is better? Let’s start with some pros of soil. First, it is much less temperamental and easier to troubleshoot. If the plants look like they have had too much food, you can flush them with water for example. It is also cheaper to grow in soil because you don’t need as much equipment.

The main benefit of hydro is that it makes weed plants easier to feed and you don’t need soil. Plus, you don’t have to worry about the climate as much or problems with your soil. It really comes down to how much space you have, your climate, and what you’re looking to do. What are the Best Nutrients for the Strongest Seeds?

What are the Best Nutrients for the Strongest Seeds?

All weed plants will require certain levels of macronutrients, these are Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Potassium; together they are often referred to as NPK and they are essential for growing marijuana.

On top of macronutrients, there are also micronutrients, such as Iron, Calcium, Magnesium, Zinc, and Molybdenum (among others) which can also play crucial roles throughout the growth cycle.

If you’re putting in the time to grow your own marijuana, then you obviously want to make the most of it THC-wise. Starting with high THC marijuana seeds is great, but you should also use the right growing techniques.

There are several ways to do this. First, take care of your plants. Research what timing cycles for light and nutrients your plants will need. Second, you’ll need the right amount of water, humidity, and nutrients to grow high THC cannabis. Most importantly, you must give your plant as much light as possible for big, healthy, and potent buds.

What are the Best Lights for High THC seeds?

LED lights have become the industry favorite as of late when compared to HPS lighting. If you can find LED lights with UV, that can often enhance the taste and potency as well. It seems simple, but sometimes that’s the best answer!

Should You Grow High THC Seeds Indoors or Outdoors?

When it comes to growing high-THC weed, you have two options: growing indoors or outdoors. While indoor growing is the most convenient (or only) option for many growers, it’s not necessarily the best way to give cannabis the light it needs. Instead, look to outdoor growing for the highest possible THC.

Cannabis absorbs nutrients from fertilizer, but that’s not its primary source of fuel. Marijuana needs light to thrive. For trichome-covered buds, give your plant as much light as possible.

Growing High THC weed seeds indoors

If you are growing indoors, the lights are extremely important as you need to get them the right nutrients at all times.

You can also easily set up watering schedules for your plants, but be careful when doing this because you must still monitor the growth closely and not over or under do it. This is a great option if you live in a climate that is harsher and must be monitored, as you are avoiding all the outside elements.

Growing High THC Marijuana Seeds Outdoors

Even the best indoor grow lights can’t quite compare. Getting pure sunlight gives plants the energy and the time they need to support the big buds and high THC levels you’re looking for.

Basically, growing marijuana outside leads to greater energy intake which results in higher THC content in your weed. Pay keen attention to the life cycle of the plant when growing outside as there are less controlled variables when Mother Nature is involved in your seed growing.

Where to Grow High THC Seeds

First, this comes down to legality, so before you do anything with growing, be sure you understand all the local laws that apply to your area. Secondly, you want to grow somewhere where the climate will be advantageous. If you have harsh weather conditions, it is better to do it inside so you can mitigate the risk to your plants.

If you have the land and a good climate (depending on the type of seed) growing outside can always be a benefit, but be sure to keep an eye on things going on with the soil.

Tips for Growing High THC Seeds

Once you have everything ready and germinated you need to move your seeds into the growing method of your choice. Hydro is generally easier and considered a better method for newer growers, however, soil can produce great results.

Once you have that method picked, there are a few key factors. You need to give your plants the proper nutrients, with Macro Nitrogen, Potassium, and Phosphorus. This will add in the process greatly. Next, you will also want to give them micronutrients like Copper, Calcium, Iron, and Magnesium. Just keep in mind, the numbers will have to be adjusted depending on the strain. Lastly, if you are growing indoors, be sure to use LED lights and provide them with the correct amount of light.
